We all have places of significance in our lives. Our photo reels and Instagram feeds are full of them. They remind us of where we came from and the experiences that made us who we are today. Thinking about them provide a sense of anchoring calm as we move towards the future.
Imagine being able to hold that memory in your hand (or place it on your desk, or gift it to a loved one.)
By commissioning a custom painting you get just that. A tiny keepsake of memory you can carry with you through life, or gift it onward in thanks. These paintings are based on photos of your special place - finely rendered but on the smaller side. Paintings will include a half-inch white border unless otherwise specified.
Places I paint include:
+ buildings (the house you grew up in, the ship you sailed on)
+ institutions (your university's spire, your place of worship during grad school)
+ landscapes (a favorite field in Vermont, the sunset from your parents' back porch)
+ cityscapes (the NYC skyline, your corporate headquarters, Paris...)

Purchase instructions:
Within 48 hours of purchase, I'll reach out to you via email to request a few photos for reference of the place you'd like painted and any notes you'd like to add.
Delivery timeframe:
Painting are typically completed within four to eight weeks from the time it was purchased. Please let me know if you have a hard deadline.
Shipping is included. If you're local we can arrange for pickup.

Paintings are roughly 4"x4" on hand-cut Arches Gran Fin Cold Pressed watercolor paper. This includes about a half-inch border of white space left on each side to 'frame' the image. Variations of up to half an inch in length may be expected due to the hand-made nature of the painting.

Keep paintings on paper away from moisture, direct sunlight (sun hitting the painting). Oil or debris on your finger can mark the paper so hold by the edges wherever possible. Left unframed, paintings can safely be leaned against objects on a shelf or desk. Paintings can also be framed to sit independently or hang on the wall.
